They announce it on the WoW.com main page and forums, but they are typically only available if the server starts getting insane queues and such. They haven't announced any new ones for a few weeks now though.

I play on Moon Guard, which is almost a month old now. I have about 14,000 characters tracked on that server, and about 10,000 of those are level 10 or less, with nearly 2,000 being level one. I'm guessing these characters aren't coming back, but I have to wait for 30 days for them to get out of my ...

In addition to filtering, selective pruning would be nice too - perhaps an option to prune characters less than 10, so those of us on new servers can get a better visual representation of what the level curve really looks like.

It's a known issue that you cannot log in without having both the account "flagged" and the CDs installed. Even if your char is in IF or someplace in the original game, you MUST have the CDs installed to login if your account is BC enabled. This came as an unpleasant surprise to military people over...

I'm guessing your account still needs to be "flagged" as having the expansion to enter Outland.

I'm sure you're aware of this, but RAID 5 is horrible performance for writes, though great performance for reads. If the submissions are the slow point, you might want to consider raid 10 or some other raid to elminate disks as bottleneck.

No - you have to have the expansion. None of hte Outland graphics, landscapes, mobs, maps, etc. exist in the default client install - you'd probably crash pretty good even if you did get through the summon.

So, this Blood Elf thing is a bit crazy:

Take a look at this: http://www.warcraftrealms.com/census.php?serverid=749 Over 30% of Moon Guard is Blood Elves. That's alliance and horde combined. This number gets more out of whack as more updates are processed. I know that Blood Elves were designed to help balance Alliance and Horde populations...

I don't know if it will balance out - but it's really imbalanced on new servers among the horde races as well - Moon Guard's horde is 56% Blood Elves, from what I've tracked.

One of their FAQs mentioned that one of the solutions they were implementing for relieving the queues was increased server caps. I'm guessing they went through with it. It would be frightening to see how long some of these queues would have been before.....

I've been tracking Moon Guard since it launched a little over a week ago. I've tracked about 7,000 horde characters in that time. Over 4,000 of those have been Blood elves - over 50% of the horde on our server is BEs.

Last night I ran censuses every half hour for about 2 hours. In that time on Moon Guard horde, the number of Blood Elves surpassed the numbers of all other horde races COMBINED that I've seen since the server launched a week ago. There were over 800 people in the BE starting zone at one point last n...

Argent Dawn had a 700+ person queue when I attempted to log in. Then the server started repeatedly exploding, so the queue completely disappeared, and it was low pop by pretty early in the night. Good thing I have alts on other servers....

Updated Census mod

Do the newest versions of Census+ on the site account for the new features that will be in the game next week, such as the level 70 cap, the new races, and the classes not being side-specific anymore? The version I'm using cannot account for these, and I wanted to make sure I was going to grab a ver...

If you didn't pull a new version of census+ with a new version number, it will still be detected as "out of date". You'll need to click the add ons button and check the "load out of date add ons" box to enable census+. I did that, and it worked fine.

I rolled a new one on there mainly because it's a new battlegroup. Without level 60s providing funds, twinking is exceedingly difficult, so PvP is a lot more fun.
