I would skip trying to gear it till the Xpac comes out. it would be wasted time and money in my opinion. pointless when the gear is going to once again be obsolete in a few months. Actually.. yeah you are going to need somewhat better gear before all the new raids. Just don't dish out alot of money ...

Never heard of Weslaco. What size is the town? (in terms of large, medium, small)
Arer there any other large towns nearby that may be more known?
