Howdy! I need some help. Several friends of mine and myself are considering transferring to a new server. Most of us are newly 60s and will be getting ready to join a raiding guild. The server we're on has been continually causing problems for raids cuz of serious lag issues, and is also on PST which is a problem for us as well. We're also deaf so we face quite a bit of discrimination from other guilds that implicate end-game content is impossible without vent/teamspeak. I refuse to believe this is true and am quite frustrated -- I'd really appreciate it if y'all could help me out -- suggest a pvp (preferrably balanced) server (we're all horde) with a fairly new population and with guilds who are cool and OPEN-MINDED. Again, I'd REALLY appreciate y'all help here!
that sucsk that they want let ya raid just because ya can't hear, but that does make it hard.
I would probally find a guild that plans everything out. That has a forum/website for ya'll to login and read exactly what's going to happen and all that. If there is a guild like that that would be your best choice.
I played with a coworker who needed help during raids at times and he had 2 people that where deaf. One was a healer and the other the MT. While it took a bit to figure out how to make it work with them when we tried to clear MC and stuff, a way was figured out and I think overall it made the whole group pay more attention to the fights since they knew how important it was for everyone to work together. I would personally visit the forums of several of the servers and check the following:
1) Guild progression lists. Some of the newer servers don't have any guild on either faction raiding stuff like MC yet.
2) If you find a server with decent populations and a few raiding guilds I would get in contact with someone from that guild before transfering.
3) Make sure the population of the server is not being misrepresented, ie, recent transfers have affected the faction ratios.
My coworkers and I rerolled on a different sever recently to get away from the lag and have fun. The horde to alliance ratio was low to begin with, but since transfers opened up I have noticed alot of new people coming over making the mistakes above. They will transfer and then post on the boards they are a BWL equipped person that wants to raid every nite. We don't do MC, let alone BWL and haven't opened AQ yet. I have no idea what these people are going to be doing. Likewise, alot of the horde on our server are transferring off. Most of the new server population is in fact alliance. During prime timethe horde activity has slipped lightly but alliance numbers are growing. Make sure you check into all of this before you transfer.
