Server question

Hi

I whantet too ask if its possible as EU player with a EU version of WoW too play on the US servers and if it can be done without bying a US version of the game?

Nope, you have to have a US account in order to play on US servers.

In that case, if you are playing the english version, I think all you have to do is change your realmlist.wtf file to point at the US servers.

If you have a US Account you can download the US client of the game free from:

You could do it like I do, copy your fully updated version of the game to another folder so that you now I have two game folders. rename one WoW EU or something like that and the other WoW US so you know which is which. Once you have that, go into your realmlist.wtf file, open it in notepad. once it is open, depending on which one it is depends on what it should read. at the begining of the US one it shoudl read us.somthing.somthing ((replace the something with what is actually there.) for the EU it should read eu.something.something (again replacing the somethings with what is actually there). once you have that, start up the appropriate game for the correct servers you want to log into, put in your account and password, and off you go.

Note: when loading the loader for WoW, it will desplay the news for whichever WoW version you have. Say you have the US WoW installed, it will desplay the US news, not the EU news, it will also do the same thing when you get ingame. Say the realms are down in the US version, and you open up a US version but are logging into EU realms, it will still desplay the news saying the realms are down ect.

Thanks guys that helpt i can now play WoW on the U.S servers

The question now remainds how i can get the exspansion to work with the U.S client.
I guess i need too get a U.S version of the exspansion, and install it

I have only opdatet my EU account so i can play the new exspansion (New chargers and so on) last question is how i opdate my US account so i can play the exspansion on that on 2

The same way that you updated your EU account, you need a BC account activation key for the US realms, meaning a US copy.
