Can't Blilzzard put 2 and 2 together?

According to a Curse.com story a rogue sold for USD $9,700, having one of two existing legendary swords, 4/5 Tier 6 gear, and other phat lewts.

The only thing that irks me is that it goes on to say that the toon goes under the name Shaks and has moved the character to the Kazzak(EU) realm. Doesn't this raise huge flags for the WoW anti-account-selling group (there has to be one) if the interweb knows that it's been sold & moved? I mean, all you need to do is LOOK for clues to back up your fact to warrant a ban or something. IP change? Sudden change of information? Something! Anything!

Or is Blizzard that clueless/helpless?

Said toon has also purportedly not been seen online in a few days and it has been postulated that the account was subsequently banned =)

And he had both of the Glaives, not just one!

The added kicker? The guy who sold is also supposedly leveling up a new rogue in the same guild!

Yea Blizzard got him for sure. Armory will still show you the char even though its banned. But there would be no indication of that besides the last online date.

it shows the char in PvP gear with the 2 legendary weapons. It was apearantly first sold for 7000euros, then resold for a few more.

Madness tbh. Btw the European armoury is totally screwed at the moment, half the profiles aren't updating (none of my alts have updated since the 11th), so just because the character isn't updating on the armoury doesn't mean it's not active... although the last seen date on this site seems to match up with it (granted only 86 censuses in last 30 days so it's possible he's been missed)

hm perhaps he had to change the name. you often have to change the name of a char you just transferred to another realm

I would have totally just gone naked until it's time to zone in, and even then I wouldn't use the weapons until everything blows over.

I know they have to be able to track that stuff. I know SOE with Vanguard banned people who used chinese IP's to log onto their accounts for powerleveling and stuff. They caught hundreds of people every week. Of course they shot themselves in their own foot because they went from like 20 servers down to 2-3 now, and probably the only reason its still open is because SOE bought it out from Sigil after it bombed after release just to add to their station pass.

A funny thing was after I cancelled it I received a postcard from them. It wasn't asking me to come back to Vanguard, but to play EQ2 instead because now that game is full of content. They offered me a free full download of EQ2, and all the expansion packs (no free trial period).
