I need help...

Post by CrimsonDragon »

I love WoW, it's the best MMORPG I've ever played. However I have a problem. Usually I make a character, get to around level 8-14 and then get bored and delete the character. Then I make another and do the exact same thing over and over again. This is really getting annoying. I've tried everything, but no matter what I do I can't stop myself from deleting my characters. If I got a character to at least 40 this wouldn't be a problem as I could just play that when I got bored. But I have absolutely NO high level characters to play on even though I've been playing since 2006!

Please, someone give me some advice. I need to get out of this habit of deleting characters. It doesn't just happen on WoW, it happens on every MMORPG i play on! So, does anyone have any suggestions for me? :(

Seems like you have a short attention span imo. I'd reccomend not deleting them; just come back to them later.

I think part of the problem is I find the starting zones in MMORPGs boring. There's nothing fun to do in them and most of the quests are just killing or item collecting quests.

Well... first off... stop deleting the characters. You can have multiple characters on multiple servers.

You say that the starting areas are boring, however you delete characters and make new ones. So that would say that you are comfortable with the starting areas up until the leveling progression slows down.

If you really want to have a high level character or characters, then keep pressing on, if it gets boring... oh well... everyone goes through that. We just toon hop and then go back to that character later.

If the starting zones are boring to you then for goodness sake stop deleting characters and making yourself go through them over and over again ;) Keep a character and visit some new zones, at a higher and more challenging level, try some instances, take up a crafting profession and develop it... there's lots of things you can do, but sticking with one character makes it much much easier to develop the potential of that character.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm gonna try making one Ally character and one Horde so I can switch between them whenever I get bored.
