Reason for stalled Update process again?

Rollie, any reason for the stalled/slow update process going on right now? Seemed to be going for a bit and then I haven't seen any updates in the last 8-9 hours or so.

Yes, due to me trying to tweak things to give the update process a chance at being able to process more quickly. I have pretty much resigned that there's not much I'll be able to do short of getting a dedicated database server to run beside the web server.

Yeah, don't worry about it too much. Anything less than a 24 hour delay between submissions and updates isn't anything to worry about especially considering that the contest is going to boost your submissions substantially. I thought things were running smoothly just as they were. I can definetly understand wanting to try and boost the speed, but might not be a good idea given the contest.

Something that's definetly worth doing if the server crashes or after the contest is over though...

I don't remember what time it was last night, but for about an hour I couldn't even access this site to upload my data, and it magically stopped updating around that time.
