The Christmas Spirit!

Post by Hybuir »

Hey Everyone!

Your old pal Hybuir here, making the rounds after months of inactivity and almost getting bumped off of the all time updates Top 10 (Keep up the good work).

It's the holiday season and although we haven't done it in a while on WCR I would like to remind people to give to local charities, blood banks, food banks and non profit organizations.

Here at WCR we set up a collective donation a couple of years back and although we're not doing it this year, I would like to encourage everyone to donate to Child's Play Charity

From the Child's Play website
Here’s The Deal
Since 2003, we’ve set up and organized Child’s Play, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 70 hospitals worldwide. Over the years, you as a community have answered the call and come together to raise millions of dollars.

Child’s Play works in two ways. With the help of hospital staff, we set up gift wish lists full of video games, toys, books, and other fun stuff for kids. By clicking on a hospital location on our map, you can view that hospital’s wish list and send a gift.

Child’s Play also receives cash donations throughout the year. With those cash donations, we purchase new consoles, peripherals, games, and more for hospitals and therapy facilities. These donations allow for children to enjoy age-appropriate entertainment, interact with their peers, friends, and family, and can provide vital distraction from an otherwise generally unpleasant experience.
Happy Holidays to all my WCR buddies. I'll be sure to hop in a bit more regularly!

XOXO - Hybuir

Hello Hybuir and Happy Holidays for you as well!

Yes, the top 10 lists have changed slightly during your absence and though I can't see much outside the top 10, I suspect that you may well get knocked out of the top 10 fairly soon and if you do, it will be very hard to get back as whoever passes you first, must be fairly active and the number 9 spot is currently more than half a million updates ahead of you...

And when I say slightly, I mostly mean that there has been little change in the actual order of people as it seems most of the "old hands" have either quit entirely or are doing so little that any position change would take years, if not decades.

As days roll by, most people just fall further and further behind myself and Balgair. Korwynd has just recently bypassed Halaster and taken 8th place on the top 10 new ones and looks likely to become the 8th ever person to exceed half a million new ones before Christmas.

So that means there are some new entries in the list! It would be nice to see some changes!
