Having purchased a time card,, I thought I had to at least play a little.
Having just gained access to the Legion expansion I did the following:
Created a Demon Hunter.. and decided .... meh, not interesting.
Leveled my main up to 103.. oh hum..
now what .. oh ..
I will pick up the older raid achievements by doing solo runs...
only to find:
professions (at least enchanting/disenchanting.. seem to be unready), I really don't want to treat all of my BOP loot as trash sales to vendors.. sigh
Time to find all of my normal use addons.. or at least attempt to find replacements for those that are no longer updated.....
What.. even Blizzards code throws Lua Errors and Warnings!!!
Did no one other then myself, test their updates against the PTR before pre-patch went live?
All my normal in game play is blocked one way or another so now what...
sigh
Fishing
Battle for Azeroth.. Have you/ are you prepared?

I'm playing very little at present, have done the pre-expansion story on both sides, but as I play to be a good guy, it doesn't feel good to play Horde any more and I don't have much connection to my alliance alts after having the same main for 11 years. So motivation to play is a bit low right now.
Tons of my addons never got updated too, I've mostly cobbled together a working collection but still doesn't really feel right. And TSM got made even less user-friendly than before, so that stopped me doing much AHing, not that I did much anyway; I want a nice simple addon, like TSM version 1 was, or whatever the addon I used before TSM was (that died about 3 expansions ago lol, can't even remember its name now).
Haven't even bought BfA yet; I've felt the whole time since it was announced that the story didn't appeal so I wasn't going to give them my money till it started sounding good. That was in the expectation that they'd actually make it sound good! It IS good for Alliance; I've got plenty of motivation for the war on those characters, but for Horde... none whatsoever. Honour is dead on the Horde side. I guess I'll buy it on Monday; Zandalar looks cool, anyway...

Yep, it seems most who care about story feel similarly, it's surprised me how common that feeling is on forums etc. There are a few who love it, but those I suspect either don't care for the story, or joined when Garrosh was leader and think Horde should be "evil". I joined Thrall's Horde, so have always been on board with the "honour" concept
Alliance story is pretty upsetting for those who loved Teldrassil, too, I know a few who are very upset, but at least they can feel their side is in the right... I want them to win even when I'm playing Horde at present

I'm Horde and proud..bringoutyourdead wrote:That is almost a universal feeling.Balgair wrote: it doesn't feel good to play Horde any more and I don't have much connection to my alliance alts
Nearly everyone I talk to that plays WoW and Horde are very unhappy with what Blizzard has done (again) with the Horde leadership.
What I do not like, is that Blizzard is intend on bending us forward and raping us from behind. AGAIN....And once more..
For some unknown reason, it seems Horde must be made out to be the bad guys, where Alliance have done their fair share of war crimes and white-flag abuse (looking at psycho-Jaina here). Horde have NEVER been the bad guys, in the history of WoW (not Warcraft).
The funny (or sad) part is; why is Horde allegedly the bad guys? It's not for the actions, because they make pretty good sense. It's the Alliance and "good forces" that commit the atrocities:
- Xe'ra trying BY FORCE to Lightforge Illidan
- Jaina, claiming to be neutral, purging Dalaran of innocent Sunriver
- Jaina, claiming to be neutral, mass-teleporting Alliance troops.
- Alliance meddling with a 100% internal matter if a problematic Warchief, and they are not only allowed to survive, they get to walk out or Orgrimmar unharmed.
- Void Elves.. Enough said.
- Anduin coluding with Wrathion
To be honest, I find Teldrassil part, the I only redeeming bit in the Lore right now. Maybe because I hate all kinds of elves, but atleast Alliance finally lost something.....Balgair wrote:Alliance story is pretty upsetting for those who loved Teldrassil, too, I know a few who are very upset, but at least they can feel their side is in the right...
