A/H ratios

Post by Guest »

dunno what formula ya are using. On Realm Stats for the server I play (Stormreaver) on, it shows a ratio of 1.1 atm. if you look at Player Activity for the server, it reflects something higher.

also, the number collection doesn't acct for different days of the week. If I take census data throughout the weekend and the other side has taken their data during the week, the avg for that hour will skew the result to a higher ratio. I think ya need to have number results separated by weekdays and weekends. the week numbers, even that way, will still be skewed by the occasional holidays where one side takes census data and the other does not.

either that, or don't validate/accept census data w/o a corresponding census from the other side at that time/date. Unfortunately I can't take census data on the other side due to pvp server rules.

Is there any kind of script that can be written to login an acct, take census data automatically, and logout, so players can make census-taking effortless?

It's simple to find the ratio. You just divide the higher population by the lower population. For example, if I have 1100 Alliance and 1000 Horde, then 1100/1000 = 1.1. Which gives 1.1 : 1 A to H.

As for your server's player activity numbers, there have not been enough Alliance entries to give any worthwhile data for Alliance. They have only had 2 entries overall whereas the Horde data has 30. If we had 30 or more Alliance entries, then the numbers could be utilized more.

Just try to talk some Alliance folks on your server to start taking censuses =)

As for your automated script thing, that sounds pretty much like a bot and as such is against Blizzard's EULA.
