First batch of files processed.

Remembered another caveat, servertypes are not assigned as of yet!

Sweet, it works!

Summary:
Total Characters: 29,951
Total Order: 19,247 - 64.3%
Total Destruction: 10,704 - 35.7%
O to D Ratio: 1.8 : 1

I thought that D far outnumbered O, so I assume that we just need more people from destruction to upload.

For the concern about not enough people in T4, the key is to just get into a good guild. My guild is nearly exclusively T4 players, and there are a lot like it. The guild XP mechanism tends to encourage guilds to have strict leveling requirements.

I've been playing wow most nights recently. I just find it to be more fun. WotLK is well done, IMO. But, censuses don't take long for WAR, so I'll run a few tonight and upload them. :)

I posted this message on the Vault Network Boards to try to give this addon more exposure.

Looks good. I copied it over to the warhammeralliance forums here:

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the purpose of the census in the responses to your thread. It would be good if a few more people posted example uses of the census data as responses to Eyeball's thread.

Yeah, the amount coverage right now is very very very minimal. Way too low to give any kind of reliable results.

I wasn't actually going to publicly promote this until I had a chance to do a fair amount of testing and processing so we could get some good info going.

well hopefully all the uploads will be a good test :)

I put about 10 servers on my list to upload. I will run census on servers other than the one I play on at least twice a day to get more data uploaded.

Offtopic:
Eyeball, I just noticed you use XorgSOMETHING for your name over there. Are you a linux enthusiast?

I remember (quite distastefully) wrestling with XFree86 drivers when I first installed linux in '97. Things today are so much easier.

Nope. It was just my name for my Troll Warrior in DAOC. I was trying to think up some great scary name back than. I think it was a troll. Nothing like what trolls look like these days in MMO's.

Warhammer Trolls > all others.
It's just too bad that you can't play as one.

Rollie, I noticed that there is only 18 choices for servers at that link (although this is more than there were yesterday). Some of the censuses that I took and uploaded are not listed yet. Is there some threshold of uploads required before you list it in with the others?

I'm going to assume for now that the "most wanted list" is anything not in the current choices.

Of course there is no need to query the low-pop servers that are eligible for transfers. I ran one census last night during peak time on my old server (Ulthuan), and it found just a level 5 squig herder and me.

Only 1 other player on a whole server? Just wow...

As to the missing servers, I may not have run your files yet. They are all processed now, so if you still see missing servers that you scanned, please let me know as that would indicate a problem!

Yes, they are all listed there now. Thanks for the quick response!

By the way, the other character was a shaman, not a SH.

Mythic only allows transfers for toons above level ten, so my guess is that the other person was trying to level that alt up to 10 so that it could be transferred to the same destination server as his main. I was honestly a little surprised to find anyone else on. I probably should have started a guild and invited him. I could have told people that I am guild master for the most powerful guild on the server!

I am curious what the Destro pop is on my server. Can someone run census destro side on Magnus, and I could return the favor for you on your server?

Is there a new version Rollie? My submission luckily uploaded but it said only 0.3 versions were allowed.

Also there might be something buggy....its now showing almost 25k in chars on Magnus my main server.

Nah, it will still accept older versions. I have a new version about ready to go, I just jumped the gun on the versions accepted.

Added:

-Purge and Prune (on the Options pane)
-Concurrency tracking (no, this wasn't in the first version)
-Gender filters (yes the buttons are big and ugly, I'll fix it later)

I ran destruction last night and this morning on Magnus, so the data should be on the site soon.

No need to return the favor. Someone has already been running an Order census on Red Eye Mountain :)

Hmmm, I ran order census before on red eye mountain but I had to delete those characters to move my destro chars over with friends being migrated from Drifting Castle so just doing destro there now. Hopefully we'll see more recent data soon :)

Yeah I have been submitting Red Eye....nice pop on that server.....I am jealous. This census gets sooooo addicting to me sometimes. I think my server list is over 20 now....basically I do all the Med pop servers twice a day.
