My brother took one to 60. They're a damn site harder than shammys are =P

Sammies are almost worse than pallys.

They are both freakin Healing Tanks. Only thing that is different is that Pally get plate.


Shammys=Over powered Horde Players
Pallys= Over Powered with Plate armour and Allience Player.

The biggest difference:

Pallies - Instant full heal (Lay on hands)
Immunity to everything for 10 seconds (Whatever that shield is called)
Immunity to physical attacks for 10 seconds (Whatever that one's called
too)
Plate armor

Shammies - Don't get anything like that.

The fact that we, as shamans, get mail and not plate diminishes our tanking ability. Also, the lack of invulnerability to everything for 10 seconds, and invulnerable to physical attacks for 10 seconds makes us less effective then pallys in tanking =)

Those and Lay On Hands make them that much more effective, and cheap. Personally, while shamans may be strong in that we have our shocks, which are mediocre in comparison. I would much rather gain invulnerability for 10 seconds then have an attack that instantly can do 400 damage =/

On another note, the lack of AoE that shamans get upsets me. Yes, we get Earthbind, magma, and frost nova totems.. But our fire AoE totems aren't as effective as the pally's AoE.

And don't even get me started on this RANGED execute bull crap... That is SO cheap it isn't even funny. Give the shamans a break, alright? 1 on 1, it takes a very dumb pally, or a very skilled shaman for the shaman to win.

And thus is my proof that Paladins have NO RIGHT to say "Nerf shamans!". And that's where babies come from. =D

Your Damage output > A pallys. Period. End of Story.

You also have an instant heal if you so choose. And easier to get than a Mages

And Paladin's have AoE? Their AoE does NOT stop a flag cap in AB; yours does. Not to mention their AoE comes at a good 11 points invested, if not more (I'm unsure of the amount, since my bro is 40 Holy / 11 Retribution).

In any case, I did not say nerf shammys. I said you are on EZ mode. Big difference.

Now I'm taking this into Mage vs Shammy. Just because you need to seeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Don't get me into Purge / Shocks. Your Purges (75 mana, might I add) > My 31 and 21 point talents. Your Shocks > My Instants. Not to mention the totem which absorbs every damaging spell ever 10 seconds is IMMUNE to Polymorph, so without destroying it, I have no way of stopping you from kicking my ass. Need I mention rank 1 Earth Shock?

Just because shammys > mages doesn't mean shammys > pallys.

Also, I AM Resotration spec'd, and DO get an instant heal. However, it does not instantly heal me to FULL.. Only heals about half.

My only point was that the whole shielding things, ranged execute, and full instant heal make them more effective tanks then shamans.

Nope, they are spamming their awesome mana-efficient fast heals on the MT.

I have not seen a Pally MT in some time...

Hehe.. Still, I just think it would be nice if shamans got a little 10 second-immunity love... =D
