So I'm hanging at the moonwell in Darnasus making my once every four days Mooncloth and running the usual census. None of my usual crew was on to chat with, so I turn on the Verbose and watch the /whos go by so that my chat screen is scrolling. (hey, if I can't be BSing with someone, at least I can pretend!)

It finally gets to the /who 1-5, and it comes back with 50 characters. Whoa! That's weird for Elune. And as it rolls on, having to do /who 5, /who 4, /who 3, /who 2, and /who 1. I'm thinking to myself... what the heck is going on? Did everyone on Elune suddenly decide to roll alts today? When the census finishes, it says something like 400 new characters on Elune Alliance side. Unbelievable! I usually get between 50 and 100 TOTAL. And then it dawns on me... Christmas! These must be a rash of Christmas newbies!

So I get brave and summon my trusty Chelsea (aka my horse) and ride out in to Teldrassil... oh. my. gosh. I think Night Elves on Elune just had a baby boom! And they all gave birth to "rouges", based upon the LFG messages spamming General chat!

I offered to make anyone who brought me linen free packs, and got spammed with "power level me!", insulted when I politely said no, hit on by a naked dancing NE female, and begged for money from.

Thank heavens mages can teleport. Heaven help me if they new I could summon uber water!

Hmm yeah, just thought I'd run a census on a "recommended" server, only to find 100 people in the queue. I've heard pop limits are lower on newer servers but even so, that's madness

my rogue just got her turkey but i havent named it and blazie's raptor is named blue.

its kinda funny tho, i find most ppl dont name their mounts. ive always named my mounts. in EQ my first mount for my cleric was named "donkey"

Heh heh Xianna... yeah, my friends find it weird that I name my "accessory critters", as my friend Chris calls them. I always have as well.

For our characters on Staghelm, my husband named his mount Elvis, so mine is Priscilla. My epic mount will be Lisa Marie. His will be Sequin Jumpsuit Elvis. It makes us laugh

When I first got my Paly mount, I was SOOO excited. I mean, first character to 40! So, I was telling my guild, and one player sent a /g tell "I shall hug him, and squeeze him, and name him George", poking fun at me. Well, it stuck, so now I have a macro to say that every time I summon my mount George FTW! Hmmm ... what shall I call my Charger when I finally get it ...
