Why does Warcraftrealms advertise illegal gold selling?

Hey all, first of all, good job on the census, I really like it.
Now the reason why I post this: I noticed a troubling fact about this site. When viewing the census I was confronted by no less than 3 advertisements of sites selling WoW gold for RL money illegally (by Google-ads). This practice damages any MMORPG, and WoW is no exception.
How can it be that a fansite openly supports something which is downright cheating, and banned by the terms of use? Warcraftrealms might as well open as section with the latest hacks...
P.s. seems like greed took control

Then you say that
http://thottbot.com/ is bad just because it also provides an AWESOME amount of information but also has the same genre of ads?

I would think thottbot would be considered by this fellow to be even worse as it is actually owned by OGaming/IGE.

Mmmm, if you want fan sites free of ads feel free to pay for hosting, bandwidth and related costs. Unfortunately sites have little control over what is advertised since that's up to the big firms that channel ad content, and considering that they let ads with trojans/spyware/viruses run unchecked I doubt they are concerned with anyone breaking a 3rd party EULA...
Blizzards early support of the IGE owned site thottbot.com went a long way towards legitimizing gold sellers in this game, unfortunately a lot more people visit there than will ever read the TOS/EULA. I hate gold selling and think anyone buying gold that way should be banned for life but the fact remains, removing all the fan sites would make WoW a lot less fun (and removing ads would do that, very few sites are run by people willing to spend the money it takes to run a successful fan site for a big game.)

Something that has been asked for is the ability to make donations in return for removal of ads from the site. Feel free to donate to the site and be added to the no ads seen list:
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/donate.php
Donors to December's Child's Play Charity drive have been added to the list and should not be seeing ads any longer.

Does the donation help more than seeing the ads? If so I won't hesitate for a second to do it (well maybe until I get paid

)

Interesting! Although I still see the ads on the forum. (I hate keeping phpBB's templates in sync, bleh.)

Yeah, I still need to get the forum included in that. Little more work than a cut/paste though. Will be done soon enough though.

Well, I guess that depends on how many ads you see/click ;p
