I just thought I would stop in, and let everyone know that I quit WoW, and its the reason I haven't submitted for almost 2 months. Gratz to Alanthus for taking the #1 spot.

Heya AD, I kinda suspected that as well =)

Funny how when you have no job that all of a sudden you don't have time to play games anymore? Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago when I unexpectedly found myself jobless. Lit a fire under me to do all those things I had been putting off.

Well actually I had already pvped with my priest, and made it to General. It was my Mage I was gonna pvp rank up. I pvped for maybe 2 weeks at 15+ hours a day with my mage, and it was boring. It made me realize that BG pvp isnt really PvP. Its called stand around a flag, and supposedly defend until a zerg comes, and takes you out. Most fighting in AB is condoned unless your fighting at the flag. It's more of farming bonus honor, than actually killing.

I look back, and I think I enjoyed PvP alot more in Dark Age of Camelot. You earned rewards for the work you put into it, and not dealing with a sliding detoriation scale every week, and it didn't matter if 20 other people got more realm points than you. Of course there were faults with DAoC too, but I remember my pvp experience being more small scale fighting, and 1 vs 1 catching someone out wondering around solo in the frontiers. I remember the keep fights the first year the game came out gathering wood, making rams, etc.

I am glad that I quit WoW though, and plan on staying game free.
