Server transfer

Post by Vek »

FINALLY. Windrunner has the ability to transfer servers, to Rexxar. Apparently most of our alliance are transferring. Thank god, the overcrowdedness was starting to piss me off.

The bad part: 4 servers have the option to transfer to Rexxar. What the hell? Blizz has like 50 servers up and running.. Just makes it a 1 to 1 thing, ya know? I guess I don't care too much, I'm not leavin'. Hehe.

I wish they would open a transfer for Shadow Moon. :(

Is that one of the servers, perchance?

Elune was in desperate need of a server transfer, and they finally did us and 4 other servers to Eitrigg recently... however, despite all the people who said they would move, very few did (well, the known ninja's and those whose reputations were beyond repair moved). It didn't solve much for us :(

I'm REALLY waiting for character transfer to whatever server you want. Then hopefully I'll find a low population server for all my characters!

Keep in mind that free transfers tend to cost a lot, something like $40 + $15 per additional char involved in the transfer would likely be considered cheap.

I'll hang around my designated servers for a while and probably play the expansion for a li'l while before W.A.R. is released, balanced RvR is the way to go for end game content :)

I like transfers for the most part however, a lot of Ninja's and guilds/chars with truly horrible reps have moved off the server, too bad some of the bad seeds always seem to stay :/

Oh I know the cost of the anyserver transfers... it was expensive in EQ too, but I can afford it and it's totally worth it to me if I can get a low population server. The problem with WoW though is that it is still getting influxes of bazillions of people, so low population servers don't stay that way :(

I just started a character on Bleeding Hollow. I know a lot of you guys on here have characters there (that was not done on purpose). I really like this server a lot. Ppl are relatively friendly except the horde, but that is to be expected. If pay transfers open up, I will have to wait and see what happens with server balance. I hope that Blizzard regulates it somehow, so that some servers aren't queued every night and others have under 5k pop.

High population servers do not really bother me. I like it because the server is active even late into the night usually and my sleeping schedule is anything but normal.

BH is a good server these days, most of the resident Nazi's and suchlike have transferred to other servers leaving the server with a more laid back attitude. Quite a few of the really bad 24/7 griefers/gankers of lowbies on the Horde side also either quit or transferred, still a lot of ganking of course since it's high pop PvP but at least these days you won't find anyone spending 16-17 hours a day on a rooftop in Booty Bay for 3 weeks straight...

I'll have you know that I know WAY more nice people on the Horde. So I take offense to that.. And as I'm sure you'll find by asking on these forums, I myself am one of those nice Hordies.. Even to the alliance. Show some respect. ;(

This wasn't mean to be offensive. Just like you most likely do not like the alliance on your server, I do not get along with the horde. Makes sense to me. THis isn't because of the people they are, but by how the game is set up.

The only talking horde does to me is getting their axe shoved in my face.

Well, I personally find that just wanton destruction in the face of a helpless adversary is funny, but I'm way too lazy to kill every lowbie I see.

Unless I'm soloing Astranaar.. Which is wonderful fun.
