Pally Help ... GASP!

Yes, I said it. I think a friend of mine used WoWGlider when I gave them access to my account and my account is gone... Hybuir the eppiced warrior is gone (dispute pending). I have Lapriest on another account but she's undergeared.

Juggernauts, one of the 5 top guilds on Boulderfist Horde, is more than likely willing to take me in if I start up a pally come xpac, since there is no time to get my priest up to par atm, much less grinding a warrior to replace Hybuir, I would prolly hate my warrior and hold him to standards that he would more than likely not be able to acheive.

So.. with that said... I'm going to roll a pally... *shudders*. I don't know about pallies and I dont want to roll alliance to start learning things, just to have them change come xpac. I'm playing my priest for the time being, brushing up on healing.

As far as spec goes... I haphazardly put in in this spec...

I have no idea of what I'm doing.

/discuss.

Thanks :)

I would assume you plan on healing at 70...

If that's the case, I'd go http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=aVxubgzGeotxGkh0M , or http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=qVxubgzGeotZVf0pM

My brother used to play a pally. I'll have him look this over when he gets home.

EDITED:

Ok, when I asked my brother, this is what he said to do:

For leveling, go up Holy first, then up Retribution: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=qxxzZZAb0t0fuVost

At 70, he said to go with a Retribution-subbed Holy build, as you were leveling. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=sExzMMZZVbjtM0uVhot Taking Divine Favor is up to you; drop Divine Intellect if you go with Favor. You can also choose between Divine Intellect and Divine Strength, though he said go with Strength.

That's horrible news, man. Yet another reason to make sure the people you share accounts with know what to and what not to do :(

Almost a whole alliance guild got banned on my server for cheating during the Cthun encounter. Blizzard's definitely getting serious about this, that's for sure.

Owww, bad luck there :( Heard a lot of people got banned for botting, and I'm glad the cheaters are gone, but it's tough on anyone who got caught up through what other people have done.

Good luck on the pally, I've levelled one to 42, but got very fed up, it was just boring for me, I'm too used to playing classes with good dps who don't take 5 minutes to kill a healer mob (I'm not kidding either, one Kurzen medicine man took me so long at lvl 30 that I had to renew my 5 minute buff :P) They seem fun in groups though, so if you plan to raid and like being a heal/cleanse/buffbot it'd be quite good, I liked the support aspect, just I'm more a solo person on the whole :)

I'm leveling a pally as well... mostly because it's one of the only classes I haven't really leveled. I suppose that even if you intend on going holy in endgame, you'll probably not want to spec it for leveling (kind of like my druid, I'm mostly resto now but I was feral for leveling - made it a ton easier.) Guess we'll see how much I enjoy it.

Oh, Balgair:

Save Hammer of Justice for when he starts healing.

Doesn't help when I can't do enough damage to kill him before he starts healing again :P I tried that one! :P

Hope you had a 2h while questing... I pity the poor pallies I see questing with 1h + shield and are doing no dps ; ;

I was using a 2h until I got the shield from SM, then I changed to 1h+shield and found it was much more effective, as I could actually keep judgements up on the mob. 2h is too risky, healing yourself and then missing or being dodged/parried = judgement gone :( 1h may be slower but it's better overall in my experience, I doubt I'd go back to 2h. Although I doubt I'll go back to the character either :P

As far as good gear goes, I had decent gear, level appropriate greens and always at least one blue :P

Well, you could you know, keep a 1her, a shield, and a 2her on your person at all times.

;)

Throw on the 1h + Shield for taking down Elites, and go with the 2her when you're going after normal mobs.

I've found in most cases the damage bonus from the 2h is much more than the extra damage taken from the loss of the shield, unless you're fighting really hard hitting elites. But that comes from my warrior experience, so it might be different than a pally (since my highest pally is only 19.)

As a side note, you could always go engineering for some extra fun and damage :P

I am an engineer :P Carry both with me but the 1h is more effective unless I'm in a group (and not healing) Although I've got that cool axe from Herod for my 2h, which is rather fun when there's more than one mob around - having it proc on the Forsaken Courier and friends was fun to say the least ;)

Yeah I am struggling to level my pally and it's the healers that make it so incredibly hard! Get em down to a sliver and BAM! Full health again! This is what let me to getting a Rogue. Now i can't even stand trying to level the pally because she seems slow in every way.

That's rotten luck Hybuir :( only person allowed on my account is my husband and i let him know if he screws things up for me the house isn't going to be pleasent for a while.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, but I'm just going to blame it on myself. I willingly gave my info to another person and what's done is done. The worst part is that the NAME i cannot recover. I really want another Hybuir on Boulderfist, but, alas, I cannot have it.

Another path would be going in as a priest. Currently my priest is undergeared ( http://ctprofiles.net/30482 ) do you think it would be worth it to start lvling it up and gear it from 60-70, rather than gear it up to 60 then gear it up to 70?

I would skip trying to gear it till the Xpac comes out. it would be wasted time and money in my opinion. pointless when the gear is going to once again be obsolete in a few months.

Actually.. yeah you are going to need somewhat better gear before all the new raids. Just don't dish out alot of money for the stuff. Look for cheap deals or just put aside time to do the raids and get the stuff free. Hope that your luck gets you what you need. Once BC comes out don't bother with it anymore.

Oh and forgot on more thing... you can make a new Warrior and name it Hybuire. Only difference is a silent "e". I would even make a character on your server and level with you to keep it from being so slow feeling.

You can easily gear up your priest to xpac standards by running ZG and AQ20... those raids might be worth running if for nothing else just to get your priest ready for leveling in the xpac. Plus they're usually quick and easy runs if you've got a good guild group, and can be done every 3 days. Anyway, good luck :)

Yeah, right now it's just about wasting time before the Xpac. Gasp... maybe i'll even venture to RL activites!
