Does anyone know if the wow servers (boxes) are located all in the same place with server time ajusted to pst, cst and est or are the boxes located through out the us?

East is really east
West is really west
Central, Mountain, and Oceania is really west with time adjusted for the zone

You can will notice this in some battlegroups. Such as the one I'm in for Silvermoon. #1
That battlegroup has realms from PST, MST, and CST time zones. Yet they are all connected together in a cluster that share similar data between realms. So it must be on the PST since Blizzard is located in Cali :)

And I remember a post way back when, months ago, where they said where their data centers are located and that some realms may be set for a certain time but are really located in another timezone. But it was pretty much an east and west thing.

And yes I'm crazy! Look at how many times I edited this damn post.... I'm counting 5 times now, in the span of 10mins.... Yup crazy

Geez. I didn't realize that playing on a CST server meant the server was on the west coast. I don't think it's affected my ping though, even though I'm from Virginia. I do feel for the aussies in my guild, they never play without like 400ms at least :\

I have traced route most of the "East Coast" servers and they are actually located on the west coast. If somebody knows of an actual server located on the east coast I would love to know the realm's name.

Thanks

My server is EST based and im in a MST state....that must explain why I get high latency in certain siuations. I was under the impression that all servers were PST based with the times adjusted.
