Blizzard NA going for out of region ppl?

From what I hear and read it seems Blizzard is chasing any outside of their NA region atm. Adding new stuff to ToA and so on.

Have to say its sad to see. Ppl should be alloved to play wherever they want.

This has been the case for a long, long time. There was a big snafu months and months ago where US citizens overseas were unable to play the accounts they had purchased back home because they were playing from outside North America. Many of them had access returned after some forum drama.

I understand Blizzard wanting to limit who they give technical support to, but I don't think that should be listed in the TOS. If someone from Brazil wants to play WoW it should be fine as long as they understand Blizzard is not responsible for a bad internet connection.

Especially considering that the game is on sale in regular game stores in Brazil as the official version for Brazil and the only thing about it is that content is in english which is rather common for most games so a lot of players from there and some other places aren't even aware of that when they start playing the game... Anyone outside the US knows very well that you sometimes must comply with very strange rules to play US games even when they aren't restricted to the US so requiring a US address doesn't even raise a red flag, it's just the usual bs.

Blizzard changed thier ToS just a few hours ago so it now states:

1. Eligibility.
You represent that you are an adult in your country of residence. You agree to these Terms of Use on behalf of yourself and, at your discretion, for one (1) minor child for whom you are a parent or guardian and whom you have authorized to use the account you create on the Service.

I must also apologize for posting semi-incorrect info in my first post... I blame Blizzard for having an October ToS on their website when the one in Game was dated December 11th. In that ToS it stated:

4. Limitations on Your Use of the Service.

A. You may only access the Service from within the territorial boundaries of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Singapore. Any access to your Account, whether by you or anyone else, from any location outside those countries is a breach of this Agreement.

So yea if Blizzard was doing any bannings and such from Dec 11th until now then that was their reason for banning because of that specific change. That has been REMOVED and you can not find anything that says about accessing the game from outside the US.

The site never did change. said same thing there. but if you look at the TOA when you log into the game. the rules against any non US or oceanic region players is still there.
