Ok if you have just started and are about to go to the charater page you idmedatley think of being an elf... Atleast that's what pretty much everyone told me what they thought. "ohh night elf rogues are so cool... Ohhh look at those humans there cool too might as well be a paladin hehe..." If anyone thinks this way they are wrong. All people are wanting is the sexiness in the race, look at the horde they have no one at all... About everyone is a night elf or human. It pisses me off that little retard kids can't stand not looking like a monster or just a colored thing. The horde makes about 1 fourth of the WoW population. That is pathtic. Everyone should never be an elf or human and join the horde. Isn't it sad that 50% of people are human or elf. I hate it just please look towards the other things than the apperance of the race.

Ummm... you do know that Blizzard recently released an expansion for World of Warcraft called The Burning Crusade which introduced the sexae Blood Elves for the horde... right?

We Troll generaly don't meed feeding we can feed out self . Gnome on a stick for example is realy hot among trolls atm.

Yes Noems are very tasty, humans are to **** so they taste bitter and NE are so hot it's like very spicy indian food . Dwarfs are allways drunk so they got alcohol in their meat. Not a good idea to drive with. Gnomes well gnomes are so full with life and energy they just taste great .

Yes, my first character was an elf... But it's because all of my friends were on Alliance and I wanted to be a druid. Of course my only option was a nelf.

I do pride myself of making my toons look cute (that's my girly side ), but I did have a tauren I was pretty happy with for a while (until we stopped playing on that server).

I do have a belf now ('cause I wanted to play around with it), but I just can't really play horde now. I don't like not being able to share with my toons or have my friends play. So that's REALLY why I pick Alliance over Horde, the looks of the toons just kind of add to the benefit.

When I was making my mage I went horde because one of my friends were horde. This char, was my very first char up until my mage. Reason I chose a human was because of looks. I didn't really like the Nelfs that much. I didn't see myself as being a tiny Gnome either. Neither a stuby Dwarf. So human was my choice for my very first char.
My mage was the same thing. I knew I wanted to be a mage, so my choices were pretty much troll or undead.... Trolls didn't really look that great, and the Undeads looked way cooler and had the best looking mount in the game. Plus the added benefit of Will of the Forsaken was the reason I choose Undead.

So you can say that I did choose looks over other things like racial spells. But my taste was based on my own opinion and not what other people were doing.

My first character was a NE warrrior, but my husband and I decided we wanted to reroll on a PVP server so we both started gnomes. I am very happy with my decision to make my gnome because I think she is awesome. I also picked the beehive hair that no one uses! lol Now that escape artist is instant cast (like it should have always been), I could see more people being interested in it. however with the new races out, I doubt that will happen for a while. My next character will be a Draenei Priest, but she is on the back burner for now. I still have a level 37 Dwarf (yeah dwarf) hunter I need to at least get to 60 to enter the Outland. Hunters and [shadow] Priests are so overpowered atm so that's what I roll.

In reply to the original post; if you have no idea of what WoW is about, all you have to go is game aesthetics and personal preference. Of course you have personality types, horde look rougher tougher and meaner; some people are just mean, chasing squirrels and taunting the dogs on the other side of the fence. Maybe you just saw LOTR and you like elves, think that they're agile, ninja looking and all around smooth; then you probably pretend to do the right thing, help people out, and triumph over evil.

It's all about game aesthetics... humans rarely change appearance, but they look fairer in the female form and stronger in the male forms. your randomized horde can be a undead mage with what seems to be a dress, spikey hair, no jaw and carries a small knife... hm...

My first character was a Dwarf Hunter - mostly because I liked the find treasure ability. I don't really have any friends that play Horde, or I would spend more time on my Horde toons.

My first character was a dwarf hunter as well when I got the game at release. I picked dwarf over NE because there were just far too many NE's, and I like to play the less popular race/class combinations when possible. I had rolled alliance with some friends coming over from FFXI (where I was a ranger, hence the hunter choice), but after about 2 months we were tired of so many annoying people on the alliance side so we switched to horde. And the rest is history

Like mentioned, I played a female undead, (mage) for a year, so I have a bit of a soft spot for them Was my first level 60 and, in my opinion, they look great Their animations are some of best in the game, and I never got tired of their casting animation.

Rerolled alliance, and eventually ended up with a night elf female druid. Not much choice in race because of that but I didn't mind much, since I like night elves. Don't really care what others think of them

Also like the look of the draenei, so I'm leveling one at the moment (not a shaman *gasp*).

As for blood elves... if I were to switch back to Horde, I would rather level a undead, unless I really wanted a paladin. Still love those undead too much

I think you have it exactly right. I absolutely despise Alliance. I do admit my first thought when I got the game was playing as a night elf. My friend told me not to because Alliance is just a bunch of little whiny kids. So I chose Horde. I don't regret it. I even jumped on a different realm to play a Night Elf once, and my friend hit it right on the nose. Alliance need to stop being such whiny babies.
