I am hoping someone can help me out there. I accidently turned turned this function on and have not be succesful in getting it turned off. It is on the lower right hand side of my screen. It is showing damage I am taking, spells casted, for myself and surrounding players. I have absolutely no idea how I even turned this on....it is only on my character

Screenshot or it didn't happen :P

I'm thinking that its your combat log and it somehow got moved to that location. But you should post a screenshot for us to see.

Tell how to post a screen shot. I hit print screen in WOW and saved it in paint. How do I get it for you to see?

If it is the Combat Log, it should toggle on and off with 'SHIFT-C'.

But you should consider having it open while fighting anyway, it contains valuable information.

Screenshots taken are saved in:
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Screenshots

If you have done some picture editing with programs like Adobe Photoshop then you can use that program to open up the screenshot file. Otherwise you can use a program called IrfanView (www.irfanview.com) which will allow you to open up the file and save it as a .jpg file.

If you have saved it in Paint then go to http://www.imageshack.us/ and upload the screenshot and use one of the links after your file has been uploaded and post it on the forums.

With the upcoming 2.1 patch all screenshots will be saved as .jpg which is nice and allows everyone to quickly upload their pics to sites like Imageshack and post them on forums for everyone to see.
