Census alts becoming too interesting?

I'm wondering if anyone else has the same problem that I do - starting an alt just to take Census and then getting caught up in leveling them.
I noticed a couple of days ago that the Alliance/Horde entry ratio on one of the servers I play on,
Lothar, was just horrendous. Over 300 Alliance entries, and only 6 Horde! No wonder the population looked so imbalanced.
So I created a Blood Elf Rogue simply to sit there and collect Census data.
Only of course, I couldn't just let him sit there. I had to do a quest. Or two. Well, just the starting area ones. Well, maybe up to level 8. Might as well get him to level 10.
Long and the short of it is, he's now 11 and I haven't played any of my other characters for over 24 hours. Help me!!!!! I don't even enjoy the rogue class!!!!

Lol! I used to level my census alts to fill the time but got sick of duel request spam etc... newbie zones are horrendous on pvp servers, especially if you're unlucky enough to time running a census when some servers are down and loads of people have made lvl 1 alts on alternative servers.
I think I gave up questing on census alts after the time a guy started swearing at me and calling me a chinese farmer, just because I didn't respond to his duel spam followed by whispers... this being on a French server when I don't speak a word of French, I was hardly likely to be able to respond

Yeah, I usually level mine up to 5 or 6 just doing the beginning zone quests... although one of these days I'll actually do the rest of the azuremyst isle quests since I've never done them before. Although, I've still never done the teldrassil quests either, but it's probably because of my aversion to night elves
When leveling my pally I actually enjoyed the ghostlands quests quite a bit. I'm not sure whether it was because I'd never done them before, or because they were good at explaining warcraft lore. Probably a little bit of both.

At least I didn't have to do the barrens quests for the 7th time (and I'm not exaggerating.)

Lol, funny you should say that... I realised the other day I was doing Loch Modan and Westfall for the 7th time

Would've been the 8th if my draenei hadn't stayed on Bloodmyst to lvl 20, as well; that was my only alliance character
not to do those zones

Yeah, I've been trying to make it a point to do some zones that I haven't really ever quested in before with my pally - searing gorge/burning steppes are currently on the list, since burning steppes was always crawling with alliance before the expansion I had to avoid it, and thorium point was always a warzone. Also I might actually do silithus quests this time around, I skipped them on my other characters simply due to the ridiculous amount of ganking in that zone pre-BC. Hopefully this time around it'll be a little easier

All my census alts are still level one and have never left the zone they were created in. I have a dozen regular characters that I don't have enough time to play as it is...
