On Saturday I had a serious sit-down-and-level session with Hyb, my second-wind warrior. After a day of quests, parties, grinding, and wiping I dinged 69. I went and stacked up on pots, consumables, respecced and got me a Crystalforged War Axe. I remembered my 59-60 (x3) and 69-70 grind and thought that this would be just as long and drawn out. I set out to just lightly quest. I had about 100g after getting a bunch of protection gear for lvl 70, gemming them with stamina, and of course a BoE sword and board.
I log in, determined, willing, able, repaired, rested and ready to take out any yellow exclamation marks I run across. After a while breakfast comes in via courier... my 8 year old nephew that made way too many waffles and decided to include me in the disposing of the evidence. Brunch is in liquid form, two cokes grabbed during the flight from SMV to shat, as soon as I hearth from Ogrimmar, I'm at half way through the level... and it's 1PM. I double check and make sure that it's not some crazy rep level and my eyes are playing tricks on me. Nope.. I'm at halfway through the home stretch.
Then I realize I'm actually hesitant; a bit reluctant on letting my little boy Hyb out into the real world of lvl70-deom. I guess I'm like a mother in denial that her kids have to grow up and move on forward. So now I'm at 7 bubbles from the plateau of 70, where he'll stay until WotLC, in the meantime grinding rep, items, and gear. Who would have thought I'd love the grind of XP.
Maybe someday I can profit from loving this grind... anyone got any Hordie 60's that need leveling?
