How census works?

Post by dutch »

If census shows 20000 allies and 12000 horde for example and I go an scan that exact server and it shows say 1200 and 850, that means? I guess I'm confused as to what the 20000/12000 and 1200/850 equates to, I'm guessing the 1200/850 is ppl online at that time.

that just means that only a portion of the total population is online. sometimes it is kind of skewed, but sometimes by censusing, we're fixing the numbers, the more snapshots the more accurate of a picture we get. oh and make sure you sign on when you submit :) (WR Updates: 0)

20000 allies and 12000 hordes, means that over the course of 30 days Census Plus picked up 20000 different alliance chars playing on that server, and 12000 different horde chars playing on that server.

The numbers 1200 and 850 that appear after you run a scan means thats the amount of people currently online on that realm.
