Last night the Dragonmaw server crashes while just finishing an arena game.
The server comes back up a few mins later, and we queue back up. We enter to get a message "Instance not found". We think ok its broken we will try again in a few minutes. A few minutes later we try again, and the same thing happens. Just by chance my 2v2 partner looks at our team on the pvp tab, and notices we just took two losses, and lost 36 pts. Luckily he did, and we stopped queuing.
So we both put a ticket in to get our points back since they screwed up. Instead we get the response points and ratings are determined automatically by the server, and we have no control over it. I ask but we didn't actually play. The GM says tough luck, and we are looking into fixing it so that doesn't happen again.
If I was quick thinking I should of given them back a response like this:
"Sorry your paycheck will be shorted $36 this week. We know you worked, but the timeclock malfunctioned, and we have no control over it, but we are looking for a fix so it doesn't happen again. We are again sorry, and apologize for the inconvenience of your paycheck being shorted, and appreciate all your hard work here at Blizzard."
