New Realms?

Me, my brother, and 4 of my friends all want to recreate characters on 1 server so we are FINALLY together. But we want to recruit a friend it on a new server.
So far the only viable server is Grizzly Hills, but that one is a little too old for our tastes.
So my question is, Blizzard has released servers in the begining of january EVERY year since WoW realeased except for the first january and thats because WoW came out a month before.
Do you think they will release new servers that won't be open for trasnfers immediately this month?

No.
As recent history shows, Blizzard only opens up new realms and immediately offers free transfers to it so that people can play the game but not on that high population realm that they were on and waiting in a queue of over 1000.
With Burning Crusade several of the realms that were released ended up being ghost towns a few months later. When Lich King came out they opened realms to help with the queue and it worked. All the realms they opened up became full in a matter of 2 or 3 days so there shouldn't be any cause for concern about it becoming a ghost realm.
But don't look for any new realms to opened up anytime soon.

I remember the posts on the main forum when Blizzard was opening fresh servers all the time. Everyone wanted more. I remember seeing posts saying "I know Blizzard opened a fresh-roll server 2 weeks ago, but I was on vacation at the time. Can you open another one soon?"
Of course, everyone knew that those new realms were doomed to becoming ghost towns. The people who were itching to be first to 70 were not going to stay around. In fact, I think that those realms would have worked better Blizzard would have announced that they would delete all toons on the realm every thirty days. That would have suited the people there better.

Another problem with adding new servers when not needed is cost. A server is not cheap and having to many (as they do now). It only makes it so have to keep charging higher prices for monthly subs. I would rather see them run 50 to 60 less serves and lower monthly sub prices a few dollars.
This game has made a huge profit and it is about time they reward the users. But looking at how they will release SC2 in 3 parts that will cost 49.99 each do not see them doing it. Know only the hardcore will buy SC2 with this $100 over charge. But this is another hot topic.
