WoW Latency

So I'm the process of choosing a new realm to play on. What I want is to choose the realm to which I will have the lowest latency.
How should I go about doing this? Lower population helps, being in the same timezone probably helps.
But what can I do to make sure I've made the best choice, latency wise?
