Just how accurate are the realm numbers?
Just how accurate are the realm numbers?
Good day I have this question about warcraftrealms.com since I saw some ..numbers on the realm list
By numbers I mean total number of players and % horde and % alliance but just when was this done and how accurate is it?
I would like to know this because I plan realm change since I have way too little horde on my server (Emerald Dream) but its hard for me to believe theres only 4% horde and 96% alliance!
This is why I would like to know just how precise this information is
Thank you!

Hello there!
The accuracy of the numbers depends entirely on how many censuses have been run on a particular realm during the last 30 days.
The realm you asked about, EU-Emerald dream... Well, Alliance side has 43 censuses (which is still considered low accuracy, as it is still "a red number")... The Horde side has only 3 censuses... so the data accuracy is horribly bad. In short, the percentages are not reliable. There are more Alliance to be found... and for the Horde side... well... almost everyone is still "missing"...
The total numbers are always from last 30 days censuses combined.
If you want better data accuracy, I strongly suggests you download the Censusplus addon from this site and start using it. Everyone can help make the data more accurate!
And no, you do not need to reach the numbers Balgair, Kerebo or myself have pushed out to be important. Every little bit counts!!!

I was looking at servers with a decent number of both Alliance and Horde submissions. And given that Moon Guard is the only server with 40,000+ characters polled within the last 30 days, it stands to reason that it must have some pretty decent data collection.
* Edit *
Though, now that I look at the Defias Brotherhood from the EU servers, I stand corrected!

Guilty as charged.1974ER wrote:Actually, as of right now the most accurate "reward" goes to...
EU-Dun Morogh Alliance... with a whopping 1567 censuses in last 30 days.
And no, I have nothing to do with that even though I am on EU servers. Dun Morogh is one server I never ever see on my "kill 0s" list.

Would be interesting to know whether there is someone else besides me scanning the realm on both sides.
I don't want to spoil your fun, but servers like Dun Morogh and Boulderfist are the least likely to have accurate numbers. I mean, the original poster did say:
Just my 2 coppers.
Don't get me wrong, I think it is great that a server like Boulderfist has 2200+ Horde submissions, but only having 50 Alliance submissions makes the realm data as a whole pretty worthless.By numbers I mean total number of players and % horde and % alliance...
