I was wondering if I made a macro for in-game that announces my current census number, and a short advert for WarcraftRealms, what should I put in it, and do you even want us to do that? like

"/1 Agoknee just did a Census. I found 1235 characters. For more info and to join in visit WarcraftRealms.com."

Thats kinda basic, but I'd like to see more people census-ing so we have better numbers for the most wanted realms.

Is there a way to get the number into the macro?

Hrm, interesting idea and one that might help participation.

If you did it at less then 1 per hour on a server.. you might not have problems.. but if much more often.. you might get people reporting spam.


For myself.. I find that if I'm not in a city but have people around.. I will /SAY that I just counted " 'xxxx' 'faction' currently on line"
I'm doing this on characters that are named censusaaaaa where the aaaaa is something related to the class I'm using.

If people comment on my announcement.. I tell them what add-on I'm using and where they can find more info about realm census and the add-on
