EU-PT server???

I was under the impression that only BR-PT servers located in US-cluster would be added..
Doing census mainly on Draenor; Raluf - Nimsay - Lusmo - Quixx - Sosyan - Garthog - Trubin - Zalistra - Zesmi and Djaang

Yep, the Portuguese language pack is being added to the EU as well, hence one new server - a bit surprised there isn't two, one pve and one pvp, but I guess they're waiting to see how high demand is first.

They might have to go for two very fast, as someone was suggesting FOUR to start off. But under current circumstances Blizzard is being prudent by starting off with just one and observing the situation. Not to mention the fact that such opening will make some sort of dent on the active populations of realms with Portuguese players.

On a more important note... Will Rollie have time and resources to update the site for addition of Portuguese realms both in EU and US???

Also, 4.3 is currently going live in US and will hit us tomorrow. I hope the current Censusplus is 4.3 compatible or we are all really sunk...

It was working fine on the PTR anyway, last I checked :)

Not sure about Rollie being able to update the realms, may fire him another email when I track down the details of the US Portuguese realms as well.

You did mention that, I just worry a bit, because Bringoutyourdead mentioned Blizzard's habit of making unannounced changes in another thread...

Nice of you to keep Rollie up-to-date as I imagine he doesn't have time to browse (WoW) news.

Finally found the info, bit of a challenge when I don't speak Portuguese :P Goldrinn (PVE) and Nemesis (PVP) are the US realms.

Mail sent to Rollie so he gets the info in time, since he doesn't have time to check the forum at all often nowadays.

I expect the way Blizzard is implementing this will cause problems for Census+ like the way enGB does.
Instead of declaring enGB when using the api call GetLocale in the EU region apparently Blizzard returns the default enUS. (Rollie has to do a special check for this.)
Since they are just rolling the Brazillian Portuguese language pack into the EU region, I'm assuming it will also respond with the default ptBR and not ptPT.

By the way .. I don't remember from when I was playing.. does the US client offer French and German language pack download options?

Unlike they did in Brazil there was close to 0 announcement and 0 willing to get it done properly giving us false info, messing things up on the launch and then "oh, ok its stays at it is since its what you wanted"...

The way they handled the new server (more like they didn’t handle) made many not even wanting to go there, but ppl are now very slowly joining the new server.
It also doesn't help opening for very few realms the free transfers having to wait for next year to open for more...

Not to mention its brasilian pack, not portuguese. You may think its the same thing but it differs in oh so many ways...loads more than US english vs UK english. Way more. But compared to everything else that’s been happening that's the lowest of our concerns atm.

Long story short Blizzard **** up in a big way, only now trying to sort things down.

And btw, the server got named Aggra (Português) since we didn’t even got our own language tab, and its in the middle of the english ones.
And if we ever get the 2nd server it will be Arcurion (Português)

oh, and I already dumped some info of the server to the site with the addon

I've e-mailed Rollie with updated info on Aggra's name/servertype, plus a couple more Brazilian servers that got added, hopefully he'll have time to add them to the database soon but I had no reply to my last mail so I'm guessing RL is keeping him busy at the moment.

Italian realms have just been announced for the near future as well, perhaps by the time Rollie arrives to add the Brazilian/Portuguese realms, he can do the Italian ones too... :P

Portuguese?

So are Portuguese speaking nations new to this game? I've noticed them in the battlegrounds a lot. Most of the time they spend cursing at people and calling everyone a stupid American. but oh well.
