What is the best frequency to do census?

I installed the census almost a week ago and started to do some and upload them, like 4 during a day.
But, for exemple, I have Hikaritauren on Elune server. The 1st time I was seen was on Dec 31, when I wasn't using census yet. The next time was on Jan 09 with my 1st census. And a new update appeared only today, Jan 12.
Every time I run census I upload it, but the new data was not appearing. A messange when I upload says it will be included soon.
Is it useless to do even a census a day, or I was doing anything wrong? I did the same process all the times.
What is the frequency u suggest us to run census and upload it to u?

I try to do a census every time I play and upload the data that night. It is up to you though. The more often data is taken and submitted, the more accurate the results. Nobody is asking anyone to constantly be taking census' and updating them though. Hopefully enough people across all servers are updating enough to give decent views of population statistics and trends.

I do many census to get the most people online possible, mainly from my guild. So when some people login I run census and upload it immediately.
And I can't understand why these data wasn't updated
If there is a minimum limit then I'll wait for better moments to run census

There is no minimum or anything. If you are submitting data but not seeing it reflected here (in char history or guild roster) then there is probably a bug somewhere and we should talk! If this is the case, it would help a great deal if you could email me your SavedVariables.lua file and I'll verify.
Send it to

The .LUA file is not saved until either you log out or you do a /reloadui. So if you run census and upload while playing without doing one of the above, then you aren't uploading anything new.
Also, if you crash before you do either a regular logout or a /reloadui then the data is lost.

I do at least one census a day. I try to mix up the times that I do it. Honestly, though, it typically gets done while I'm flying to Tanaris ... f'ing long damn flight....

hmm I think that is the problem. I just run census and upload the data!
And I have many crashes that I need to reset computer, maybe that's the problem
I'll try that, do /reloadui always after running census+.
Another question, what is better: purge data in the morning, run census+ some times during the day and submit data at night or submit data every time I run census+?
And how purge infliences on data results?

If you are using census+ and using the /censusdate command, then you purging your data doesn't do anything as far as collection for the site is concerned.
However, if you are using the old census, or using census+ and not entering date information, then purging the data will clear out characters that you have not seen since they were first tagged.

I didn't understand. Should I purge or not?
I use census+ and don't do censusdate...
Now what I'm trying is purging data in the morning, running census some times with /reloadui as soon as possible and submitting it at night.

I've found that running census when you hop on any flightpaths to be useful. It also has minimum impact on your playing, and is almost always complete by the time you've landed.
