btw, what is the definition of "new toon" vs updated?

New name basically

New name or faction change or realm change..

Since we have no way, in game, to track any of these changes on an existing character, it will be considered a new character.

Updated is a toon "Character - Faction - Realm" that has been seen before and something we track has changed.
Typically this will be a level up, but it could also be a change in Guild status.

Actually the later is I think correct.. but I am not sure. I haven't looked that that code on the site in some time.
