Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta
Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta
Now, that was unexpected....
My account have been flagged for Alpha/Beta (Launcher says Alpha, Game says Beta) of BfA..
I'm of cource willing to test CensusPlus when AddOns are enabled (which they aren't at the moment)...

Doing census mainly on Draenor; Raluf - Nimsay - Lusmo - Quixx - Sosyan - Garthog - Trubin - Zalistra - Zesmi and Djaang
I hate bugs, and the devs are not compensating me to find them
A game as big as WoW is a nightmare to test, and the only way to test it, is to play it.
On top of this, being located on the wrong side of the Atlantic, Blizzard doesn't even respond to our postings.. In the US, devs are literally chatting with players..
I have seen too many reports, months old in EU which got no attention, but after first report in US devs suddenly did something.... And replied in US thread..
I have just levelled all classes to 110 and played all of Class campaign to end on all 11 of them... Beta participation would have meant 12-20 playthroughs to test..
I would have hated it, before the game was released.
Testing an AddOn, is another matter in my eyes; it's small and fast to find bugs. Dev can release a version, and 5 minutes later, you can be done testing..

Yeah .. I've noticed that too, for many years. I am, however, hoping that any in-game bug reports I make will be treated with the same regard as the ones sent in by those in the US, as they're joint realms.FuxieDK wrote: On top of this, being located on the wrong side of the Atlantic, Blizzard doesn't even respond to our postings.. Just getting them to put Alpha forums on the Blizzard forums was a mission in itself .. it felt a lot like an afterthought once a few of us had started questioning it. Like they were just putting them there to shut us up and keep us quiet. At least it gives us a place to compare notes with others in alpha in the EU, even if it's not being monitored by Blizzard.
I don't mind testing .. I've done it for most expansions (but not legion, for some reason) and often you get stuff there that doesn't happen live. Like Blizz employees joining in, weird stuff happening, entire areas being changed overnight .. although it's a bit frustrating working out which areas aren't working because they've just not enabled them yet, and which are actually simply not working :p
Anyway .. I'm happy to test the addon too, once we get to that point.
It's actually possible to post on US forums if you're in alpha - starter accounts which are flagged for alpha/beta have permission to post in the US alpha/beta forums, you just have to make a US starter account (can take a bit of jumping through hoops to convince it you really do want a US one, when I did it you had to edit the url at every step, replacing "eu" with "us", might've changed since) and make a character so you've got something to post with; I've been using that for several betas now.

Does that still work? I saw a few people on the EU forums state you couldn't do that anymore ...Balgair wrote:It's actually possible to post on US forums if you're in alpha - starter accounts which are flagged for alpha/beta have permission to post in the US alpha/beta forums, you just have to make a US starter account (can take a bit of jumping through hoops to convince it you really do want a US one, when I did it you had to edit the url at every step, replacing "eu" with "us", might've changed since) and make a character so you've got something to post with; I've been using that for several betas now.
Not that I'd do it anyway. Too many hoops, I have too many "accounts" anyway, it would just confuse me.

Really?? Wow, that doesn't normally happen till beta's been out a couple of months, that is a surprise! A pleasant one though; if Clique is working I might actually test some dungeons rather than just ignoring them like I usually do (healing without mouseover click-casting = no thanks, rather wait till it's live lol
)
