Question about Mortal Kombat enhanced

I love this mod... but there is a option to select to make this work pvp only yet when i select it.. still the mod turns music on ect whenever i get a mob. I literally cant stand any of the sounds unless im in a pvp situation.
Is anyone having the same issue? Or is there a fix i can use to completly remove this mod from PVE. Ive spent a good 45 mins tryin to get it to work only in pvp but i cant.. this is driving me crazy
