Suggestion: PVP/Non-PVP sorting
Suggestion: PVP/Non-PVP sorting
Would you consider adding a dropdown menu like this?
- Both
- PVP
- Non-PVP
... that sorts the census according to the servers play rules.
Would be interesting to see how the class census differs with the rulesets.
(Heck, maybe even add an option to display only rp-servers....)

List of servers
You should make a table with all servers, with informations like PVP/PVE/RP, Eastern/Central/Mountain/Pacific, total population, horde population, alliance population, horde/alliance ratio, percentage of overall population; and everything able to sort.
With a table like this, it would be very good to see which are the best servers to enter. Since Blizzard mix all the servers at official forum links it's hard to see which ones are East and PVE servers for me. Joining this info with population info would be great!
A table easily exportable to Excel also would be very good

I second that, removing the comma and percentages in brackets is painful after a while.A table easily exportable to Excel also would be very good

Where are the data exports?

What I'm thinking is something like this:
Server Name | PVP/PVE/RP | E/C/M/P | Total pop | Horde pop | Alliance pop | horde/alliance pop | total pop/server pop |
This is an exemple of the rows of the table, and each server being in a line.
With those data in Excel, it'd be possible to do thingg like:
- sort all PVP server together
- sort all Eastern servers which are PVP
- sort all PVP eastern server by that ones with best alliance/horde ratio being on top
And now it is very easy to see the best PVP servers closer to me, and then I can come to Warcraftrealms to get more information about them (how many ppl with each class and race, how many guilds, etc) and choose the best server for me to create a new char
The more important informations I see are:
- server name
- server type (pvp, pve, rp)
- server location
- alliance and horde pop
With these we can get MANY things, and with Excel (or OpenOffice.org
) we also can make functions to get even more information.
In the begining Blizzard had on the official forum a list with all the servers orded by type and locantion, but since eastern pvp servers were getting almost everybody they sorted the server links just alphabetically.
Now to see the location we must create a char on server and see the server time, and to see the type we must login and open the server list.
So a list of all the servers with these 2 infos plus pop data would be very useful!

Here's an exemple of the table

I saw that you also have percentage of alliance and horde pop, it also may enter on tableserver list exemple wrote: Name | type | location | Total pop | Horde pop | Alliance pop | horde/alliance pop | total pop/server pop
Elune PVE east 6947 1881 5006 0.375 ??
Warsong PVP east 14679 6222 8457 0.735 ??
Hellscream PVE ??? 13895 5684 8211 0.692 ??

Here you go:
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/exports/d ... ite.csv.gz
It only gives total Horde pop and total Alliance pop. You can calculate all the other values you requested from those numbers.
Enjoy =)
