A place for "last update" time/date

Post by IceShadow »

Hi! As I said in the other thread, I really appreciate the work you guys have put into this site!

I thought of something that might help stop people from asking about the updates to the database, however...would it be possible to put somewhere on the main page a posting of the time and date of the last update processed? I don't know what all is involved in updating the database, so if it would take more than a couple minutes of coding, it probably isn't worth it...but it might help people's anxiety about their updates if they knew the time/date of the last update that was processed.

Just an idea!

Fine idea, and you are correct, only takes a couple of seconds to add that in.

Added a line to the dbstats page:

phpbb:phpinfo()

Given that he has the Longhorns mentioned on his front page, I'm going to venture a guess that he's in the Central US time zone, GMT -6.

And just looking at it...it only tells you when the last update file was uploaded, not when he last included it into the database, if that makes sense.

It is in UTC +6

There really isn't any point to putting a next update line as updates are pretty much ongoing on a constant basis.

The process is running pretty much constantly. It is over 48 hours behind now so it all depends on when your data is processed.

It seems to be that new data is added all the time, but right now it's behind, and so it's working on things that are around 48 hours old before it gets to newer data.
