Armory links...

Post by Padanfain »

like BoYDs Deadwolfen are broken...
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/char/194412144
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/A ... fen/simple
should be Area-52

and sastebers Tilliwarlock (actually all of sastebers claimed toons because they are on the same realm)
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/char/182445725
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/A ... ock/simple
should be Aerie-Peak

doesn't seem to be all realms with a space in the name as 1974ERs Drenakk
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/char/97951885
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/D ... k/advanced

and Balgairs Iarnaigdkt armory link works fine
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/char/185214785
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/E ... t/advanced

Looks like EU WoW site handles realms with spaces differently than NA realms with spaces.

Edit: Also just noticed EU links to advanced view and NA links to simple. hhmmm

actually the link for Deadwolfen should be Aerie%2052
the space in the name should be html coded to %20 and not + or -

I'll bring this to the attention of Metalbeast

Ah, ok. When I did a search for Tilliwarlock
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/search?q=Tilliwarlock
and clicked the link it showed in the address bar as
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/a ... ock/simple
but both the - and space(%20) seem to work.

jumping threads..
did further research on the - substitution.

Blizzard decided to do something non-standards based... and as usual
Blizzard standard is to not bother documenting anything..

and as usual they goofed which lead to another oddball solution
when same account cross realm mail came along
with their solution to the problem they created of
Charactername-Thisrealmnormallyhasspacesinthename
