For one of my character the pvp rank doesn't change. Will it get updated if i loaded the census information myself?
Also, all 3 of my characters are labeled as alts. Can i change on of them to my Main?

PVP ranks are really out dated and will not change at all. Not even if you update the information yourself. WoW 2.0 broke the way CensusPlus captured pvp ranks and honor kills, as well as other profile information. Rollie had planned on fixing this but with the introduction of The Armory it is no longer needed since this is where all that information and more can be found.
To change your character's from Alts to something else you need to enter your WR Profile and change it yourself.
Make sure you are logged into the Main site.

Locate your character and click the Edit button on the right.
Next to the Status there is a drop down menu for you to select.
