This should improve your view of the navigation bar.
If the new bar CSS control displays a navigation bar that is worse then the previous bar, please let me know.
If possible include a snapshot of the bar, along with your browsers name and version.

Hmm, not sure if there's something wrong on my end tbh - mainpage looks exactly the same as before, no change at all. Most other pages (in the old style), the menus are just plain broken, no mouseover, nothing happens on click, just dead. Strangely works fine on my profile page though.
Firefox here, I have Ghostery/Noscript/AdBlock installed, but paused all three to check. Also just tried in Internet Explorer, frontpage now displays correctly but menus in the rest of the site still don't work.

web browser caching..
do a CTRL-F5 key combo to clear the cache for the page and then do a refresh.
Add yes the old menus are still door nail dead...
and I won't be working on them.. unless Metalbeast wants that.
Just for giggles my development version has wiped all the various nav bar menus and replaced them with the new version.
Problem is that my development pages are visually ugly as I just ripped out the old and used a crowbar to force in the new.

Doh, didn't think of that! Seems fine now, yep

Hadn't realised the old menus was a longstanding thing, (yeah I recall recent changes now you've said that) as it's worked on the user page and server submissions page all along, and those are the pages I use most often - a bit more consistency would make it seem less broken, but please don't break the working pages to make it match
