zjsmetana wrote:I really like the new look, however the site isn't working properly with Safari browser or Firefox browsers. The links just give me this 'javascript:void()' and do nothing when clicked.
This is the same problem I'm having. I've done some testing and have found that the new site basically doesn't work on Mac OSX :-( I've tried different Macs, different browsers, different routers, friends' machines, etc and it works on PCs (Firefox & IE) but not on Macs (IE, Safari, Firefox). Only the 3rd site I've come across that is PC specific!

Any ideas Rollie? I've tried disabling OSX's built-in firewall, upgraded Java, upgraded OSX, etc and don't have any content filtering software running. Have tried both Intel and PowerPC Macs and have the same issue on all machines I've tried...

ugh, unfortunately I do not have access to a mac to even do any testing. I'll see what I can do, but that is definitely a problem if such is the case.

Let me know what logging I can do as well and I'll send that through to you. Anything I can log through Firefox or Safari?

The menu's don't work on Firefox on my Macbook Pro (nor for that matter in Safari either). They work fine in Firefox on my Windows XP box. *shrug*. Just an inconvenience really.

In Safari the only error I get on the page via the JavaScript console is

ReferenceError - Can't find variable: ie4

Think the problem is in dhtml.js:

The key seems to be the 'ie4' error message. I nicked a bit of the code and declared the variable ie4 and set it to false. That makes the menus appear on my little test setup - what real affect it will have on the site itself I can't say :-)

Hrm, thanks, notth

I made a similar change just now to the js. Can someone with a mac do a hard refresh and see if that fixes it?

Hey - menus now work perfectly in FireFox :-D

Look really odd in Safari though - the menus appear on their own disconnected to any "top level" i.e. hover mouse over "Warcraft Realms" and the menu appears an inch or so under "Community". Very strange!

....and apparently work in Safari as well :-D

Not sure why testing in Safari didn't work first time as I tried 2 different machines when testing, but seems to be sorted now so great!

Btw it looks like the number of updates has got itself unlinked from the forum - my forum info's not updated since around the time you did the facelift anyway. Not a major thing, just thought I'd mention it! :)
