I'm quite excited about the ability to customize my profile with CSS. I know it's not available yet, but I'm so looking foward to it, that I want to play with it ahead of time.
Just how customizable are they going to be? Can we create a *.css file that we can upload/link to for our profiles? Will we have a text box that we can enter CSS into that will overwrite the style info that you have hard coded into the page? I assume that there's not going to be a form where you just enter information, since that wouldn't require any CSS knowledge, and you mentioned that in the post.
Basically, I'm just wondering how it's going to be implemented when it does get implemented so that I can be all ready to jump on it when I get the go ahead.

So I need to spend some time with this. Basically, what I am thinking is that I will allow you to upload a css file that defines all the named ID's. You can currently see what is available by viewing the source of the profile page. All the named ID's at the top of the page can be defined.

So that means I'll be able to do something like <a href="http://www.johngrinerphoto.com/profile.html">this</a>. YAY!

Ok, I just went to my character profile http://www.warcraftrealms.com/profile.p ... d=13238268 and all my stats are at zero

My profiles are ok now. Stupid me, forgot to un-hide them.
But the DPS-calk is bugged on two of my characters.
The only difference between my three characters is that the one that is correct has a staff AND wand, the others only have a Staff/2h Axe.. Seems it breaks when the ranged-slot is empty.
But the DPS-calk is bugged on two of my characters.
Code: Select all
Damage: -1.#IND - -1.#IND|cffff2020 x0%|r
Damage per Second: -1.$
Since I can't edit my post (no edit-button!) I'll post the URLS here:
DPS-bugged Warrior: http://www.warcraftrealms.com/profile.p ... id=8190534
DPS-correct Priest: http://www.warcraftrealms.com/profile.p ... id=2958568
(Does my priest have nice gear or what?

The addon "Titan ItemBonuses" within "Titan panel" (continued version with 2 panels and so on) calculates this well, and has most things I think. Unsure about the crit. Possibly + from items but not the total. However it should be easy to calculate.. base crit + talents + per # int / agi + items (no ones that are "on use")Rollie wrote:I'll have to see if there is a reliable way I can manage this. It would entail parsing of item descriptions as the text of an item is all that is stored, not all the individual properties of an item. It might be doable though and would be a nice addition!Skyfire wrote: 2) Do you ever plan to implement something such as the amount of crit a caster receives from Gear, Int, and Base Crit (also talents maybe?)? Or the amount of plus to magical spells and effects? These aren't currently in the game, and whilst it isn't exactly difficult to figure out these numbers, it would be a nice to see all the numbers right in front of me.
Very exited about styling my profile with CSS, and it looks like you've marked up everything one can need with ID's. Get crackin' on upload with UU. And when (yes, when, not if. ho ho ho) you make the tradeskill info and such make sure you read the info from as close to the root of it so that addons do not mess the reading up, which is the case of other character profiling services out there. :-/
First there was Census+, then there was the signature images, and now ... Character Profiles! Warcraft Realms is going from strength to strength. Thank you!
One thing I noticed is that my chars Akonite (on EU-Drangonblight, two poinard and a bow), Eledriall (on EU-Earthen Ring, two handed staff and wand) and Zotboom (on EU-Thunderhorn, two handed staff and wand) have odd damage info for melee and ranged:
Melee Damage
Main Hand
Attack Speed (seconds): 0.00
Damage: nan - nan|cffff2020 x0%|r
Damage per Second: nan
Ranged Damage
Ranged
Attack Speed (seconds): 0.00
Damage: nan - nan|cffff2020 x0%|r
Damage per Second: nan
Where as Oak (on EU-Draenor, two handed staff) has sensible damage for melee:
Melee Damage
Main Hand
Attack Speed (seconds): 2.43
Damage: 55 - 76
Damage per Second: 26.9
This seems to be the opposite to the behaviour that Bishamon reported earlier. Any indication what the problem might be?

Hello Emily!emily wrote:you might have already said this somewhere else...but I just don't feel like searching through posts to find it...So i'll put myself out on the limb and ask..
Is there a mac version of your mod?
I only see an .exe file when I downloaded.
*puts up shield for mac bashing*
I am also a Mac user.
Download the zip file and use something like Stuffit Expander or just try double clicking the zip to see if it'll be decompressed by the system level tools. It ought to decompress to a folder called CensusPlus.
Now find where your copy of WoW is installed and look for a folder called "Interface" - there should be a folder inside that called Addons - drag and drop the CensusPlus folder into that Addons folder.
Run WoW.
Tinker with the mod settings.
omg..you are my new best friend..I didn't even think of StuffIt! I tried to double click..it just gave me "open with" I'll try it later when I get home..and Thanks again!sackboy wrote: Hello Emily!

Although, i'm a blonde so I might need some more help. It took me awhile to figure out how to get the Beta version of teamspeak on my mac last night..haha.. even though they say how easy it is

I still got no way to un-hilde the Profile for http://www.warcraftrealms.com/char/14704726 .. The option doesn't appear (and I've uploaded the Census data several times, including the special profile data).
Works fine for my other chars, like http://www.warcraftrealms.com/char/11976289.
Only makes sense that my primary, most updated, char is the bugged one
