Well, it took a lot longer than I had expected to rebuild the database but the site is back online.
There is one change though that I will update probably this evening. On the character search page, it is now CASE sensitive for the time being. That means if you do a search on rollie, you will not find anyone, but if you search on Rollie, you'll get the expected results.
I'll give a little more info later when I have a chance to better explain the changes.
Thanks!
Addendum:
I am disappointed in the gains that I have received from the rebuild. I was hoping for more. The good thing is that international characters should be handled properly now under all cases (crosses fingers). I am still working on further tweaks and enhancements and I hope to make things even better. I just don't have enough experience in throwing this much data around. I learn more and more every day though!
The biggest problem I see right now is the searching in the character history. If you do a search and you don't give it several letters to use in the search, then the search takes a very long time. I am doing what I can to decrease the search time. In the meantime, I would suggest searching on at least 3 characters when doing a character search.
I have not yet re-enabled processing. I am going to start that back tomorrow when I have a chance to closely monitor the progress.
Of course if you see any problems, let me know!

Uni-uploader?
Hello Rollie,
I was just wondering if my uploads thru the uni-uploader interface we indeed recieved and integrated into the database while the website was down (or at least stored for later integration). Uni-uploader recieved the same response as if the servers were up, but I suspect that it was a canned response. Just asking out of curiosity.
Can't wait to see the change-list,

Hi Rollie!
I noticed that in the signature for my characters on the Azjol-Nerub server, when I put on the server name, it comes out as ol-Nerub.

I don't know if it did that before as I saw the option to do it today only. >.>;
Anyway, keep up the good work! And thanks again for this really cool feature, I think it's one of the best thing I ever saw someone do. (b^.^)b

Mentak-
Yes UNIUPLOAD files still came through.
Shinryu -
THanks for bringing that to my attention, was a small problem with the EU- server detection. Should be all better now =)
All- I am still working on improvements. The update hasn't given me the performance boost I was hoping for so I hope it hasn't been all for naught. We'll see soon enough though. In the meantime, I'm sorry for long query times when doing character history searches.

How many people?
Rollie,
Is there a way to know how many unique people update a given realm/faction combination at this time? The reason I ask is because I've been monitoring the number of updateds for my realm/faction combination (Alleria/Alliance) and it seems to me that I am the only person uploading data for that. Just out of curiosity,

PD: My Honorable Kills are missing in action again. Any sure way of this not happening?
