Stats not being updated?

At first, I was wondering if there was a small delay around end of month (I only just joined last month), but now there seems to be something more serious going on. I have a stack of files that haven't been processed, and my figures in my profile (total and this month) were never updated when the first round of files were processed this month. Although, my stats in "Top Contributors" were updated...well, a coupla times they were.

But to highlight it all in a more concise way, there's this:

Number of Alliance realms updated in the past 24 hours 273
Number of Horde realms updated in the past 24 hours 286

Last processed file was uploaded on 2008-10-02 02:25:52.
Current server time is 2008-10-03 06:27:48

Wanna run that one by me again? In the last 24 hrs we've had 559 realms updated...but the last processed file was uploaded ~28 hours ago. Does that mean the "past 24 hrs" stats are in terms of processing time, and there's a huge backlog of files being processed...slowly? Or is something broken out there?

This is not a flame or anything of the sort - just trying to work out what's going on.

Well, it looks like something's trashing the database/stats server:

Last processed file was uploaded on 2008-10-02 03:24:09.
Current server time is 2008-10-03 09:57:49

So, we're still processing uploads...VERY VERY slowly. 1 hr's worth of uploads processed in approx 3 1/2 hrs. Doesn't explain why, but at least I can see (in very rough terms) what's happening now.

Rollie, is there anything users can do to moderate the load on the server, that won't significantly impact on the credit we get for stats?

I actually noticed that my last 3 uploads haven't gone through either, ever since the end of the month. I assumed the DB was on hold (which happens from time to time) and so the backlog was growing. Any official word, Rollie?

Well, this is rather discouraging...the server's now more than 2 days behind, and the only response is another user who's noticed the same problem. This hardly encourages new users like myself to work on contributing to the site...

This site is run by one person, who has a lot of things to do with his time, give him a chance. 2 days is hardly the end of the world, it used to ALWAYS be that far behind before Rollie spent a lot of money on upgrading the servers. Have a little patience.

Ack! I've been so busy I hadn't even realized I hadn't been here in a few days. I'll look into it immediately.
