Does it matter where or which character?

Post by palomanegra »

Numerous questions, hold on to your hat!

All of my characters are on Eldre'Thalas. However three of my characters aren't on the existing information. If I use different characters to run the census is this helpful? Would it mess up the data if I play two characters in one day in the same place?

I have these characters: 2 NEs, Tauren, Orc, Troll, Dwarf & Gnome. One NE and the Dwarf weren't on the list. Both my NEs are low lvl and at the moment are in the same area. If I run the program with both NEs will it cause a problem? Sorry I don't even know how to ask the question any differently.

Also, is there a list of areas where the census needs to be run more? Does the census slow me down in any way? Does it have a specific amount of time it needs to run? Does the program look at the entire server or just the area I'm in at the time?

The census looks at the entire server, so it doesn't matter where you are.

Only online characters are censused, so if no one else is censuing your server, you'll have to run a census with each of your characters in order to have them included in the data. Unless you purge your data, the new information is simply merged with the old data, so you won't lose any information by running more than one census.

In fact, you can upload your census files once an hour if you're concerned about losing information.

That probably didn't answer everything, but at least it's a start. ;)
