Beginning 2 days ago, whenever a Census is taking place, the social panel keeps popping up and will not automatically close. I havemade sure the option is Checkmarked. I have even disabled the auto-close, exiting the option menu, gone back in and re-enabled it.

Anyone else have this issue? I would like to keep doing the census, but not if the Social menu keeps popping open every few seconds.

It is a known problem and one that cannot be eliminated in all cases.

What you can do is select a different panel when it pops and that should prevent it.

Yeah.. been trying that, but still happens. I have been trying different scenarios to see if I can find out what causes it. I have successfully caused it to happen on 2 different servers under 1 particular circumstance, but I still need to validate this as a probable cause.

I will keep you up to date.

100% reproduction rate:

open social window, select guild tab, close window

as long as the census is running it will keep popping up the social window.

If you close the social window with the 'who' tab selected, it will not bother you.

You beat me to it.. To be thorough, I had to test it to make sure certain races or classes, addons, or Raid/Party considerations weren't part of the equation... and they weren't.

Well you can choose any tab but the guild tab and it won't appear.

Actually, its reprocucable only after you have zoned or reloaded your UI. (At least for me)
