Census mod background

is there a way to change the background of the census mod to be more solid?
There is a slider, going from 0,1 to 1,0 IIRC..
It cannot become solid black, but at 1,0 it's what I'd call semi-transparant, and you'll quickly get used to it (I know I did)..
I think the slider is called "Transparancy" or "Opaque" or something like that (not at my PC right now)..
