Character transfers

Just a quickie here.

I have a character that's been on three different servers during her life and so I marked the older two as transferred.

Now then is the correct way to mark these transfers:

Link 1 > 2
then link 2 > 3

or:

Link 1 > 3
and link 2 > 3

Also just as an aside, does marking the older versions as "transferred" update the census database?

No, setting them as transferred just helps people who look for that character find out where they currently are. They will fall out of the census data after 30 days of inactivity.

Umm... a character I haven't played since just before WoW was launched in Europe still shows up on Warsong (US)!

THey will still be listed on the site, just not included in any of the stats areas.
