Powerlevelling and gold selling ads???
@Balgair - In the 2.5 years we've had the option to donate to not see ads, we've had 39 donations at an average of $13.74 per donation. This doesn't even cover the hosting costs for a single month for the site.
@yegggman - In another thread I posted that the amount of RMT advertising on WCR has dropped tremendously and I am moving towards total elimination. At the moment I have several outstanding obligations. You suggest getting other sponsors, believe me, I've tried, there aren't a whole lot out there that want to do so on an ongoing basis. A month here and a month there doesn't cut it.
I understand that many do not agree with RMT and you are welcome to take the stance to not visit/support an entity that does something you do not approve. Sorry to see you go, maybe check back later to see if we have reached the point where we can completely remove all RMT ads.

But you can try to explain it by explaining that business want to advertise consistently on the site. Furthermore they are kept to a minimum and not whored out with ads (cough wowinsider cough) leaving more room for the actual site.yegggman wrote:You still can't justify supporting an activity that damages the game you claim to be supporting, violates its EULA and/or TOS, and is openly condemned by the makers of said game. If this site draws as much traffic as you claim, it should have no problem drawing legitimate sponsors and advertisers.
Would you pay for this service?
Some of them are TOS violation sites. But at the same time Rollie does need a way to pay for these servers. He is doing a darn good job so I learned to ignore the ads.
