How often should I purge?

I took 3 census , then uploaded the info.
When I log back in I should do a purge?

If you are doing shotgun updates for the contest, I would suggest purging after each upload.
If you are just keeping track for your own local server, then you don't need to purge at all if you don't want to, and just do a /census prune everyone once in a while to clean out old entries.

Just wondering... why would you recommend purging after every upload if you're doing the contest?

Speeds up the upload and processing of the file. Since information you've already uploaded has been processed there is no reason to keep it other than for your own viewing pleasure.
