My Chat doesn´t work any more ;(

My PC crashed yesterday during World of Warcraft. After Reboot and relogg into my WoW account my chat window doens?t show what I write to my group.

I don?t know what a "US Census" is. I deinstalled Cosmos, but it doesn?t work either.
When I try to write something in the chat, i can see what i am writing, but it doesn?t appear in the chat window after pushing the "Enter" Key.
I can?t see the massages to my gild, group, or whispering to someone, but everyon (accept me) can read, what i?ve written.
When i try to write in the different channels the second channel seems to be a different channel as usual. Befor my pc-crash "/2" channel was a german channel, no its the "/2 group" Channel. Same with Channel 3. Channel 1 is the same anymore. It?s called "/1 allgemein".

So why is my chat english after my pc crashed???

As for your problem, this is a problem with Cosmos and the state it leaves your game in sometimes.

Try this:

Go to your character directory you were on, ala

\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\XXXXX\YYYYY

Where XXXXX = your account name and YYYY = your character name.

Now delete the chat-cache.txt file.

If that doesn't work, try deleting your WDB folder. If that doesn't work, delete your Interface folder (this will nuke any AddOn you have installed and you will need to reinstall any you were running). If that doesn't work, delete your WTF folder (this will delete any user settings you have made, sorry). If that still doesn't work, then you have bigger problems and I have no idea what to tell you =)

I have done all the things u said to get the (same problem as hyph) problem away but it doesn't work! Do u have another tipps for me?

I do believe this is a problem with Cosmos, not necessarily a problem with Census itself.

Did you delete your chat-cache.txt file? If so and you are still having problems, I would suggest removing all AddOns and starting from scratch. Delete your Interace, WTF and WDB folders and run Warcraft. If this does not solve your problem, then you have other problems with your Warcraft installation.

Also bei mir hat das wunderbar geklappt, wenn ich meine Chat.txt feile l?sche. achja eine Neuinstallation hilft auch
ist aber nicht zu empfehlen, da es zu lange dauert!

Versucht folgendes:

Geh in dein Charakter-Verzeichnis (etwa \Programme\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<accountname>\<charaktername>) und l?sch die Datei chat-cache.txt.

Falls das nicht hilft, versuch den WDB Ordner zu l?schen. Wenn das auch nichts bringt, l?sch den Interface Ordner (Achtung: Hierbei gehen alle installierten AddOns verloren und m?ssen neu installiert werden!). Falls das immernoch nichts bringt, l?sch den WTF Ordner (hierbei gehen alle Einstellungen verloren!). Wenns dann immernoch nicht klappt, hast du ein gr?sseres Problem und ich f?rchte ich kann dir auch nicht weiterhelfen.
